Are you residing in beautiful, sunny Clearwater and wondering what it takes to get your medical marijuana card?
With an award winning beach and so much to do, it can be hard to pull yourself away long enough to figure it all out. Fortunately for you, CannaMD’s Clearwater medical marijuana doctors have you covered! To prepare you for your initial appointment, we’re going to go over everything it takes to qualify for medical cannabis and get approved.
Clearwater’s Medical Marijuana Approval Process
All CannaMD physicians are board-certified, state-licensed doctors who are qualified to “prescribe” or recommend medical marijuana. (As cannabis is not yet approved by the FDA, it can’t technically be “prescribed” – which is why the term “recommend” is used.)
CannaMD features a number of medical marijuana doctors offices across the state, including a convenient Clearwater location:
13575 58th St N, Suite 200
Clearwater, FL 33760
After a Clearwater CannaMD physician determines that you are eligible for medical marijuana treatment, we will forward our recommendation to the Florida Department of Health. The Florida Department of Health will then provide you with a login to their patient website, where you can complete their application and pay the state-required $75 fee.
You should receive an approval email back in 7 to 21 business days, at which point you can print out your temporary certification and begin buying medical marijuana!
