Cape Coral Marijuana Card

The “Waterfront Wonderland” of Cape Coral has vacationers and retirees flocking all year round. With so much to do in this bustling coastal city, it’s easy to see why so many are drawn in!

With medical marijuana’s recent legalization in Florida, many are wondering what it takes to get approved for a medical marijuana card in Cape Coral. If you’re curious whether you may qualify for medical marijuana treatment in Cape Coral, CannaMD has you covered.

We’re going to go over what steps you need to take to get a medical marijuana card in Florida, and will be sure to send you in the right direction as far as where to go to buy medical marijuana in Cape Coral!

Getting Approved for Medical Marijuana in Cape Coral

Cape Coral wasn’t the first city in Florida to open up to the benefits of medical marijuana, but has since become one of the most frequent issuers of medical marijuana authorizations in the state. In April of 2018, Cape Coral officials voted to allow medical marijuana dispensaries within city limits.

While medical marijuana is frequently recommended in Cape Coral, the steps to getting approved for a medical marijuana card in Cape Coral are the same as anywhere else in Florida:

STEP 1: Make an appointment with a certified medical marijuana doctor. CannaMD has an office conveniently located on SE 47th Street. Our physicians are trained to answer any questions you may have about the approval process, benefits of medical marijuana treatment, and any other general questions you have pertaining to your condition.

CannaMD’s Cape Coral office can be found at:

CannaMD

1222 SE 47th St, Suite C2

Cape Coral, FL 33904

STEP 2:  Show up to your appointment at CannaMD. During your appointment, one of CannaMD’s state-licensed, board-certified medical marijuana doctors will assess your symptoms and determine your eligibility for a medical marijuana recommendation. They will help guide you through the approval process in order to make sure the process goes smoothly.

STEP 3: Your medical marijuana doctor will forward their recommendation on to the Florida Department of Health. Shortly afterwards, you will be emailed instructions and login credentials for the Florida Department of Health’s Patient Portal.

STEP 4: Log into the Patient Portal and complete the Registry Identification Card application and pay the state-mandated $75 fee.

STEP 5: In 7 to 21 business days, you should receive a temporary medical marijuana card, which you can print out immediately and use to purchase medical marijuana that same day!
